Audition Requirements

Auditions for the 2007-2008 season will be held August 18th and August 25th.

Auditions will be held in Richardson Hall at Woodward Academy. Students who submit the application form and fee by the deadline will be sent a postcard with their audition date and time. Audition times will fill quickly. Please submit your application as early as possible.

Wind instrumentalists should prepare the following material:

1. Chromatic Scale – GMEA Middle School All-State range
2. Scales – Concert F, Bb, Eb, Ab, and Db
3. Lyrical excerpt of 16-20 measures
4. Technical excerpt of 16-20 measures
5. Sight Reading

Percussionists should prepare the following materia;

1. Snare Drum etute
2. Timpani etude
3. Mallet Keyboard etude
4. Sight Reading on Snare, Timpani and Keyboard

Tuition

Tuition for the each member is $125 per year. In addition to private and corporate sponsorship, student fees will serve as the budget for the ensemble.

Uniform

Ladies:

1. Floor-length black dress or pants.
2. Black closed-toe dress shoes.

Gentlemen:

1. Tuxedo
2. Black dress shoes.
